Finger Lakes success stories
The growth of the Finger Lakes wine industry is a great success story, and here at Finger Lakes Grape Seed Oil we are pleased to salute our winery partners and participating retailers as we get busy with our second year of production. We are all about celebrating the beauty of the Finger Lakes region, taking advantage of its agricultural opportunities and charting a future of environmental sustainability for generations to come.
When wineries crush their grapes at harvest time, the product left over is grape pomace, the residual skins, stems and grape seeds. Some wineries compost their pomace; others spread it over their fields, and others require off-site landfill disposal of the material. Enter Finger Lakes Grape Seed Oil with our vision for environmental sustainability and recycling for product reuse. We take the pomace from our partner wineries and turn it into a highly desirable grape seed oil product that tastes good and is good for you.
